This Internship is designed to provide an opportunity for students or recent graduates to gain practical experience in media and communications in a professional setting. The Intern will work closely with the department to support key regional communication initiatives and contribute to the overall advocacy strategy.
Assist the Regional Media and Communications Adviser in the development of communication materials, including press releases, media packages, fact sheets and social media content
Support country offices in the production and finalisation of communications products
Produce content in line with NRC standards, branding, compliance
Produce content for use by global Fundraising
Undergo in-house training in NRC’s branding and house style, digital asset systems, ethics, and other relevant areas
Conduct research on key regional issues and compile reports for internal use
Support the planning and implementation of communication campaigns and events
Monitor media coverage and social media trends relevant to the region
Assist in the maintenance of the department's online presence, including the website and social media accounts
Travel to field locations in for content gathering (video, photo and text)
- Recently graduated from a degree program or training institution in communications, Journalism, International Relations or a related field
