Job Overview:
The Region Development Consultant plays a pivotal role in the American Heart Association's Strategic Planning and execution of core field campaigns within the Eastern States Region. This position involves collaborating closely with Senior Leadership to develop comprehensive strategies that drive revenue growth and enhance the impact of the Association's mission. The consultant will serve as a mentor and coach to staff, providing guidance on best practices for campaign execution and helping to create actionable plans that align with the organization's goals. The role requires a deep understanding of Fundraising strategies and the ability to analyze campaign performance to inform future initiatives. The consultant will also be responsible for maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and ensuring that the Association's campaigns are effectively communicated and executed across the region.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Region Development Consultant will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:
- Developing and implementing strategic growth plans for the Eastern States Region's core field campaigns, ensuring alignment with the Association's best practices.
- Coaching and consulting with field staff on campaign development, providing training on best practices and expected outcomes to achieve revenue goals.
- Serving as the primary product expert for Heart Challenge and Socials campaigns, offering insights and guidance to enhance campaign effectiveness.
- Analyzing campaign data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborating with senior leadership to provide revenue forecasts and projections for campaigns across the region.
- Handling special projects as needed to support the region's fundraising efforts.
- Traveling 30%-40% of the time to engage with staff and stakeholders across the region.
Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Region Development Consultant position should possess the following qualifications:
- A university or college degree, or equivalent experience, is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in fundraising, sales, or a similar field.
- Proven experience in raising over $1 million in revenue and successfully recruiting and leading volunteers.
- Demonstrated expertise in key fundraising strategies, including business partner campaigns and high-level sponsorship proposals.
- Strong influencing skills and the ability to consult with staff at various organizational levels.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in group facilitation and presentations.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data to inform campaign strategies.
Educational Background:
The ideal candidate should have a university or college degree, or equivalent experience in a relevant field. This educational background will provide the necessary foundation for understanding the complexities of fundraising and campaign management within the American Heart Association.
Experience:
Candidates should have at least 5 years of relevant experience in fundraising, sales, or a related field.
