As a member of the ICOWASH 2.0 project team, you will monitor and report on all project activities in support of Catholic Relief Services’ (CRS) work serving the poor and vulnerable. Your thorough and service-oriented approach will ensure that the project consistently applies best practices and constantly works towards improving the impact of its benefits to those we serve. Roles and Key Responsibilities:

Support the Coordination and implementation of all WASH activities in schools and Health Care Facilities as outlined in the detailed implementation plan in line with CRS program quality principles and standards, donor requirements, and good practices. Monitor implementation of WASH in schools and Health Care Facilities and report any challenges and/ or gaps identified to inform adjustments to plans and implementation schedules. Assist partners in their efforts to reflect on project experiences. Support project accountability through participation in joint monitoring, community reflection meetings, partner reflection meetings and effectiveness surveys. Collaborate with local partners to prepare reports per established reporting schedule. Collect information on staff capacity and technical assistance needs of partner organizations and coordinate Capacity Building and Technical Support activities to ensure effective impact. Complete project documentation activity reports, success stories, short videos, and provide relevant data for scheduled project updates and annual reports. Hold quarterly technical review meeting with implementing partners to review performance and strategize for the ensuing quarter. Required Languages - English, Mampruli, Dagbani, Guruni and Talen

Travel -The position is based in West Mamprusi or Talensi Districts with extensive travel to project communities (80% travel to projects communities). Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Observation, active listening and Analysis skills with ability to make sound judgment Good relationship management skills and the ability to work closely with local partners and community members Attention to details, accuracy and timeliness in executing assigned responsibilities Proactive, results-oriented and service-oriented  Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferably in (social and behavioral sciences, physical science, and any other relevant discipline). Minimum of 3 years of work experience in project support, participatory WASH in Schools and Health Care Facilities. Experience in the use of participatory Health and Hygiene Education and Community Led-Total Sanitation is highly desirable. Knowledge and experience of working with local government system is an added advantage. Supervisory Responsibilities: None

 Key Working Relationships:

Internal: Senior Project Officers, Technical Advisor, Project Manager-ICOWASH, Program Manager-WASH, Operations Team, Communications Officer Project Manager-Sector Influence. External: DPCU, District Environmental Health and Sanitation Team, District office of Ghana Education Service, District office of Ghana Health Service, IPC focal persons, WASH mentors, school WASH Clubs and School children.


Basic Qualifications

High School diploma required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Minimum of 4 years of work experience in project support. Experience in the use of participatroy approaches and Community Led total Sanitation is highly desirable and for an NGO would be a plus. Additional education may substitute for some experience. Knowledge and experience of working with local government system is an added advantage.  Agency-wide Competencies (for all CRS Staff)
