The American Heart Association (AHA) has an excellent opportunity for a Community Impact Project Coordinator within our Western States Region located in Tucson, Arizona.
The Community Impact Project Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and executing the AHA’s special projects including grant-funded initiatives to ensure deliverables are effectively met and documented.
This is a grant-supported, part-time position with an anticipated duration through November 2022 offering a variable schedule of up to 8 hours per week.

The Community Impact Project Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and executing the AHA’s special projects including grant-funded initiatives to ensure deliverables are effectively met and documented.

Responsibilities
Essential Job Duties:
- Executes Project Implementation of assigned programs and events including coordinating the Logistics according to standards, timelines, and budget.
- Facilitates the identification, recruitment, and selection of appropriate volunteers, including community-based organizing, to support this work.
- Provides a wide variety of skilled logistical, administrative, clerical, Data Management and project Coordination of assigned initiatives and events to support the assigned grant-funded initiative. Ensures timely communication and service is provided to all staff, volunteers, and other external and internal customers.
- Manages project data and reporting utilizing AHA systems.
- Coordinates communication and collaboration between community stakeholders to achieve shared goals
Qualifications
- Minimum two (2) years of progressive experience in public health, community health or equivalent with:
- Proven ability to recruit, mobilize and manage volunteers.
- Demonstrated ability to drive toward and achieve results.
- Proven ability to apply Marketing insights to develop appropriate strategies.
- Effectively manage relationships with the ability to gain trust and demonstrate influence without authority.
- Knowledge community networks
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish; listening, speaking, reading, and writing
- Knowledge of corporate and community networks.
- Knowledge of AHA’s mission and programs.
