Job Overview:
The Production Specialist, Creative Services position at the American Heart Association is a vital role that involves managing daily and recurring project activities related to the operations and management of the Creative Services department. This position requires a hybrid work schedule, allowing for both in-office and remote work. The Specialist will work independently to achieve project-related goals that support the mission of the AHA. Key responsibilities include organizing meetings and teleconferences, coordinating communications with stakeholders, and managing databases. The role also involves producing high-quality Digital Media, including video and audio content, and overseeing the post-production process. The Specialist will be expected to maintain effective working relationships with various stakeholders, including staff, volunteers, and third-party vendors, ensuring that all multimedia projects are completed efficiently and to a high standard. The AHA provides numerous resources to support work-life harmonization, including access to training and development programs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Production Specialist include:
- Producing and shooting high-quality digital media, including video, audio, and live broadcasts, while managing Logistics and talent on location.
- Editing and managing post-production processes, including graphics, color correction, and audio for various digital assets such as videos, podcasts, and Social Media content.
- Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the in-house studio, including equipment inventory and maintenance of AV equipment.
- Building and maintaining effective working relationships with staff, volunteers, and third-party vendors to facilitate collaboration on multimedia projects.
- Managing project schedules and bandwidth, resolving conflicts, and coordinating with freelancers as needed.
- Archiving video assets according to production standards for digital Asset Management.
- Performing administrative tasks related to expenses, invoice processing, vendor setup, and contracts.
Required Qualifications:
The required qualifications for the Production Specialist position include:
- A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in a relevant field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in digital content creation and Marketing, with a strong preference for candidates with a background in multimedia production.
- Proficiency in operating live streaming equipment and familiarity with film and photography equipment, including cine cameras and DSLRs.
- Extensive knowledge of video production software, particularly Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and DaVinci Resolve.
- Strong understanding of social Media Platforms and their specific video requirements.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and gain trust among volunteers and stakeholders.
- Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure during production processes.
- Up-to-date knowledge of multimedia studio production technology and techniques, with the ability to guide leadership on advancements in the field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as familiarity with Canva.
Educational Background:
