Job Overview:
The Planned Giving Marketing Manager is responsible for driving the integration of planned giving marketing campaigns and automated journeys across multiple channels, including mail, email, telemarketing, and digital advertising. This role involves collaboration with channel managers and agencies to cultivate and solicit planned giving prospects while also stewarding Legacy Society members within the Mass, Midlevel, and Major Gift audiences. The manager will enhance digital lead generation and qualification efforts, utilizing analytics and research to identify opportunities for optimization and innovation. The role supports annual planning, budgeting, and the establishment of key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success and effectiveness in achieving the organization's goals.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Planned Giving Marketing Manager will take overall responsibility for designing, developing, and delivering the organization's account management strategy. This includes managing relationships with strategic donors and pursuing opportunities that align with MSF-USA's mission. The manager will build trust and loyalty with potential donors, ensuring they are updated on activities and fostering long-term relationships, particularly with large corporations and foundations. Additionally, the manager will develop brand positioning based on the brand strategy and implement brand plans. Stakeholder management is crucial, as the manager will plan and deliver engagement activities to ensure stakeholder needs are met. The role also involves executing various aspects of Digital Marketing operations, including planning campaigns, creating content, and integrating digital channels. The manager will perform Donor Experience Mapping to identify pain points and challenges, deliver specialized support for new and existing accounts, and help drive donor renewals through exceptional service.
Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to operate as a recognized expert in the field. The role requires expertise in assessing facts and circumstances to make innovative adjustments to thinking and work habits. Candidates should have a proven track record of establishing trust within client organizations and understanding key donation influences. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for building relationships with donors and stakeholders.
Educational Background:
A bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, nonprofit management, or a related field is required. Advanced degrees or certifications in relevant areas may be preferred but are not mandatory.
Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing, Fundraising, or a related field, with a focus on planned giving or donor development. Experience in managing marketing campaigns and working with diverse donor segments is highly desirable.
Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory. Proficiency in additional languages, particularly Spanish or French, is considered a plus and may enhance a candidate's application.
