The French Government is a strategic partner for Save the Children, both in terms of our policy objectives for children and our programme financing. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Partnership Manager to develop and lead on Save the Children’s evolving relationship with the French government. You will have experienced in engaging both the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Agence Francaise de Développment and with NGO network Coordination Sud. Ideally, you will be based in Paris (at home initially), reporting to the Head of Partnerships based in London. You will be working alongside six other managers who will support your efforts. You will be working across the full range of the organisation - Country Offices, Headquarters and with our UN offices in Geneva and New York.

Key Accountabilities In addition to the above, you will:
  • Lead relevant engagement strategies, a stakeholder management plan, and participation in events across the French institutional landscape
  • Influence Save the Children’s strategic positioning vis-à-vis the French Government and peer organisations, define opportunities with the aim of expanding our strategic collaboration, policy influencing funding
  • Identify and anticipate current and future funding trends, opportunities and challenges emerging from the French government through networks and engagement
Person Profile To be successful you will be a dynamic, passionate and experienced Partnership Manager, driven by delivering results for the most disadvantaged children we work with. A strategic thinker, you will also have experience in engaging both the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Agence Francaise de Développment and with NGO networks Coordination Sud. In addition you will:
  • Be educated to degree level or equivalent qualification gained through experience**
  • Have excellent verbal and written communications skills in French and English (fluent in both)
  • Have a proven record of accomplishment in institutional strategic partnership building, brokering relationships with partners, and engagement at a senior level, as well as outstanding negotiation and diplomatic skills
  • Have experience of influencing and delivering results across complex organisations
  • Possess excellent relationship building skills with the ability to network with and influence senior people internally and externally to achieve results.
