Job Description

Job Summary:

* The Partner Safeguarding Advisor will provide Technical Support and advice to regional, CP and partner staff on the implementation of the Partner Safeguarding Procedures and Minimum Standards.

* The position will play a key role in developing and adapting training workshops, webinars and technical safeguarding resources for CRS and partners staff Roles and Key Responsibilities:

* Support the development, evaluation and revision of a partner safeguarding Capacity Building toolkit (building on the PSEA Toolkit) which includes guidance materials, tools and templates for partners in line with CRS’ Partner Minimum Standards for Safeguarding * Support the development, evaluation and revision of an interactive online training module for CP-level Partner Safeguarding Focal Points and an orientation session for partners on the partner safeguarding procedures * Facilitate technical trainings to country Partner Safeguarding Focal Points and relevant partner staff * Provide technical support and assist country program teams in the implementation of the Partner Safeguarding Procedures, Minimum Standards and partner safeguarding capacity building plans * Provide technical support to CP teams, remotely and on-site, to strengthen the safeguarding capacity of their partners * Manage the Partner Safeguarding Teams Site for Partner Safeguarding Focal Points: upload CRS guidance documents and industry guidelines, share relevant updates from CPs and peer agencies, reply to questions from CP staff and provide regular updates to CP level Partner Safeguarding Focal Points * Support the development and implementation of a community of practice on Partner Safeguarding: this includes bi-monthly calls or webinars and learning events to discuss and document the implementation of the Partner Safeguarding Procedures and associated tools and trainings.

* Lead/support the development of and continuous management of a database tracking the implementation of the Partner Safeguarding Procedures and partner capacity strengthening initiatives at CP level * Document and promote the sharing of learning, best practices and experience on partner safeguarding * Support the documentation, Analysis, evaluation and report writing of the Partner Safeguarding Assessment Pilot Typical Background, Experience and Requirements

* Minimum of five years of experience in the humanitarian or development sector * At least 2 years of experience in the field of protection or safeguarding * University degree in Social Work, Development Studies, Gender Studies, Psychology or Project Management * Experience facilitating collaboration between partners and different departments and Country Programs * Experience in developing and conducting face-to-face and online trainings in safeguarding and/or protection * Experience in mentoring and coaching staff and/or partner staff * Experience of having worked for or with CBOs and local NGOs * Strong relationship management skills with ability to influence and get buy-in from people not under direct supervision and to work with individuals in diverse geographical and cultural settings * Good technical writing skills * Solid organizational/time management skills: the ability to be flexible and work well in a fast-paced multi-tasking team environment * Strong analytical skills, strong computer skills including facility with standard desktop applications.

* Proactive and resourceful; a problem solver who seeks to find constructive solutions within compliance and policy requirements Required Languages – Fluency in English required. French, Arabic or Spanish is an advantage.

Travel – travel will vary; 30% anticipated travel in given year Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
