Job Overview:
The Oracle Fusion Financial Analyst position at the American Heart Association is a critical role that involves collaboration with the Accounting, Finance, and Procurement departments to ensure the effective delivery of technology projects. The analyst will be responsible for supporting, configuring, enhancing, testing, and training on finance-related business systems, particularly Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP. This role requires gathering and documenting business requirements, translating them into functional requirements, and ensuring that the systems meet the needs of the organization. The analyst will also play a key role in driving best practices for Oracle ERP modules, ensuring compliance with audit and SOX standards, and supporting business process transformation initiatives to improve operational efficiencies.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Oracle Fusion Financial Analyst include performing configuration changes in Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP, managing customizations, building OTBI and Fusion Analytics reports, and providing user training. The analyst will support various Oracle modules such as Procurement, General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Management, and more. They will assist with key system processes, including month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, and will define and execute test scripts and scenarios. The analyst will identify opportunities for operational improvements and notify management of issues requiring immediate attention. They will work cross-functionally to analyze, Design, and develop business solutions, providing analytical support for multiple projects simultaneously, establishing work plans, and coordinating with internal and external resources. Additionally, the analyst will develop and execute test plans, lead integration and user acceptance testing, and support business process transformation initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
The position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Finance/Accounting, Computer Science, Math, or related fields, or 7+ years of equivalent job experience. Candidates must have Oracle ERP Cloud experience across multiple modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and more. A minimum of 5 years of experience in implementing and supporting Oracle ERP, with at least 2 years in Oracle Cloud SaaS, is required. Candidates should also have 5+ years of business Analysis experience, particularly in finance/accounting aspects of ERP systems, and experience in evaluating Oracle Fusion quarterly patches and managing Service Requests with Oracle support. Strong problem-solving skills, the ability to analyze and prioritize product backlog, and experience with custom reports and SQL queries are also essential.
Educational Background:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field such as Information Systems, Finance/Accounting, Computer Science, or Math.
