Job Overview:
The National Development Lead, Socials is a pivotal role within the American Heart Association, focusing on the national strategy and execution of key Fundraising campaigns such as the Heart of CITY/Heart Ball and Go Red For Women. This position is designed for a leader who will oversee the growth and success of these revenue streams, ensuring that the campaigns are effectively managed and executed across various markets. The role involves collaboration with national and regional teams to set visionary goals, develop disciplined business plans, and enhance Volunteer engagement. The National Development Lead will also be responsible for training and supporting staff in key markets, ensuring that best practices are consistently applied to maximize campaign performance and revenue generation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The National Development Lead, Socials will have a comprehensive set of responsibilities, including:
- Leading the implementation of national Socials campaign strategies, ensuring effective campaign management and oversight.
- Providing field Marketing and training for socials staff, including direct consultation and in-field training to model effective meetings.
- Conducting thorough campaign Analysis using lead indicators and data to drive performance improvements.
- Serving as the lead for socials training, organizing national training bootcamps and bi-weekly huddles.
- Collaborating with the national team to define, create, and execute national external events that promote and celebrate the socials campaigns.
- Updating and refreshing campaign tools and materials, including case studies and business plan documents.
- Monitoring and analyzing external and internal trends and data to develop benchmarks and best practices for campaign focus areas.
Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the National Development Lead, Socials position must possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher. Additionally, they should have at least 9 years of experience in a similar role or in leading multi-million-dollar campaigns with a proven track record of year-over-year growth. A minimum of 5 years of experience in coaching and influencing internal leadership and staff is required, along with a demonstrated success in corporate and individual giving. Candidates should also have 5 years of experience working with and leading volunteers, showcasing their ability to thrive in dynamic environments. Strong project planning skills and the ability to meet deadlines are essential, as well as expertise in campaign oversight and reporting. The role requires the ability to travel overnight up to 50% of the time.
