Responsibilities
The American Heart Association (AHA) has an excellent opportunity for a Matching Gift Specialist in our National Center office located in Dallas, Texas . The location of this position is remote and flexible.
In this role, you will be responsible for timelines and project-based work for all aspects of Matching Gifts. Responsible for multiple systems and customer relationship management databases. Responsible for researching, identifying, and completing Matching Gift opportunities across all Field Campaign activities. Responsible for ensuring data accuracy and reconciliation of systems.

In this role, you will be responsible for timelines and project-based work for all aspects of Matching Gifts. Responsible for multiple systems and customer relationship management databases. Responsible for researching, identifying, and completing Matching Gift opportunities across all Field Campaign activities. Responsible for ensuring data accuracy and reconciliation of systems.
Essential Job Duties
- Prepare and submit documentation for Matching Gift contributions as identified by original donor.
- Manage timelines and provide Project Support to include daily, weekly, and monthly data imports/exports and reporting.
- Provide Data Quality Support based on timeline for all event systems, vendor portals and tracking systems.
- Develops understanding and knowledge of AHA Mission and goals to effectively communicate with donors. Participates in Mission Advancement team projects and initiatives are requested.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Two (2) years of experience providing administrative support for development teams in a nonprofit, hospital, research, or academic institution.
- Two (2) years of experience working with corporate and community relations contacts.
- One (1) year of Project Management experience
- Ability to initiate support and collaborate with all levels of staff, prospects, volunteers, and donors.
- Comprehensive ability to prepare written communications.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel experience.
- Two (2) years of experience in the following:
- Understanding of philanthropic environment
- Experience using donor relationship management software, such as BBCRM, Blackbaud, Dynamics, Tableau, and/or Raiser’s Edge
