Job Overview:
The Logistics Assistant position is designed to support the daily implementation of logistical functions within the area office in Goma. The role involves assisting the Team Leader with procurement activities and providing support to program teams regarding supply needs at various sites. Duties and Responsibilities:
The Logistics Assistant will be responsible for a variety of tasks including:
  • Working in accordance with NRC policies, tools, manuals, and guidelines.
  • Assisting in the implementation of support functions as per the action plan.
  • Drafting reports on the progress of support activities as requested by the supervisor or management.
  • Ensuring proper archiving of documents.
  • Encouraging and proposing improvements to support functions.
  • Updating purchase tracking registers and contract monitoring regularly.
  • Supporting procurement activities in the field.
  • Assisting in processing purchase requests and ensuring compliance.

  • Proficiency in English is an asset.
  • In-depth knowledge of the social, cultural, economic, and legal context of North Kivu.
  • Basic knowledge of Software Applications such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Fluency in French, both spoken and written, and conversational proficiency in Swahili.
  • A motorcycle driving license is an advantage.
