Job Description
Salary Grade: A local salary compensation package based on experience and internal salary grid is offered for this role and will be discussed during the selection phase.
Status: Must be legally entitled to work in the country where a contract would be issued.
Location: Adjacent to an MSF office for hybrid work dynamic. To ensure an easy collaborative work with the Director" id="link" class="link">Executive Director's Office, location between UTC -7 (Pacific Time) and UTC -3 (Atlantic Daylight Time) will be favoured.
Key Responsibilities
Continuing to build and nurture a competent, motivated, and professionally diverse HACE team, regional Focal points, and links with colleagues who share objectives with HACE Continuing to build, nurture and maintain strong internal and external networks and collaborations Promoting and helping integrate HACE operational research and its findings, identifying and managing additional research/operational projects that help operational teams integrate a CEH approach Playing a thought-leadership role on MSF’s advocacy and public positioning related to CEH especially on adaptation Playing a reduced though still supportive role towards the movement’s efforts to reduce its environmental footprint Being MSF Canada’s champion and subject matter expert (SME) related to CEH particularly on adaptation including anticipationPlease CLICK HERE for complete description.

Knowledge and Experience
Demonstrable knowledge in issues and practices related to Humanitarian Response, environment and/or Climate Change, climate adaptation, international development, public health Familiarity with contemporary approaches and frameworks to climate action (e.g. Planetary Health, Climate Change Adaptation, anticipation, resilience-building, Loss & Damages) Demonstrable experience in research, Analysis, Data Analysis, synthesis, writing, speaking Demonstrable experience engaging people across MSF and disciplines, and with multi stakeholders in and out of MSF, managing multiple partnerships, complex Coordination and diplomacy, and working transversally and cross-sectoral on interdisciplinary issues Direct experience with general budgetary control, budget forecasting and tracking, and data analysis Strong demonstration of personal and public communication in writing and speaking Computer Software skills (Microsoft 365, Zoom etc.)Education, Certifications, and Languages
