Job Overview:
The Intern will be attached to the management controller and the Logistician of the Desk, with a time allocation of approximately 50% for Financial Management/accounting tasks and 50% for Logistics-related tasks. Under the supervision of the management controller and the Desk logistician, the intern will assist in various accounting and logistical functions. This role is crucial for supporting the financial and logistical operations of the organization, ensuring that all processes are carried out efficiently and in compliance with organizational standards. The intern will gain valuable experience in both financial management and logistics within a humanitarian context, contributing to the overall mission of SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern's responsibilities will include assisting the management controller with accounting tasks related to missions, verifying analytical and accounting allocations for various missions, and supporting the administrative and financial Coordinator with the analytical allocation of invoices and salaries for expatriates. The intern will also aid in the annual accounting closure and monthly analytical closure of missions, utilizing accounting software such as SAGA and Navision. In terms of financial management, the intern will manage daily needs for field admin teams, participate in budget tracking, validate budgets for operational proposals, and assist in preparing financial audits. Additionally, the intern will examine procurement documents, verify compliance with SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL procedures, and participate in the logistics reporting process for donors. General responsibilities include attending weekly desk meetings and monthly logistics department meetings.
Required Qualifications:
Candidates should possess a Bac +3/4 level or BTS with a focus on management (Master's, Business School) and preferably have some exposure to international and humanitarian contexts. Proficiency in common office software, particularly Excel, is required. The ideal candidate should demonstrate autonomy, rigor, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Educational Background:
A minimum educational background of Bac +3/4 or BTS with a component in management is required. Candidates with a Master's degree or those from Business Schools are preferred, especially if they have a focus on international and humanitarian studies.
Experience:
The position is intended for interns, so prior professional experience is not strictly required. However, any relevant experience in financial management, accounting, or logistics, particularly in a humanitarian context, would be advantageous.
Languages:
A good command of English is mandatory. Knowledge of additional languages may be considered a plus, especially if relevant to the regions where SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL operates.
Additional Notes:
The internship is based at the SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL headquarters in Clichy (92), accessible via the Mairie de Clichy metro station. The internship requires a formal internship agreement. Compensation is set at €4.90 per hour, calculated pro-rata based on actual hours worked. Typically, a month consists of approximately 154 hours, equating to 22 days of 7 hours each. Public transport costs will be reimbursed at 50% by SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL, and interns will receive meal vouchers worth €8.90 per day worked, with SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL contributing 60%.
