Job Overview:
The position of Intern in the Occupational Health Unit at the ICC involves supporting the unit's mission to promote and maintain the health and well-being of staff members. The intern will work under the supervision of the Staff Counsellor/Medical Officer and will be involved in various activities aimed at enhancing workplace health policies and programs. This role is crucial in ensuring that the ICC has effective tools to minimize preventable harm to staff and optimize their working conditions. The intern will participate in Data Management, awareness presentations, and the maintenance of medical records, contributing to the overall health strategy of the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern will be responsible for a range of duties, including updating Psychosocial information related to staff well-being, conducting data searches on relevant health topics, particularly concerning the Secondary Trauma Survey project, and managing data using Excel and SPSS. Additionally, the intern will assist the Staff Counsellor in delivering awareness presentations and training sessions, support the inventory management of Medical Supplies, and help maintain electronic medical files post-examinations and vaccinations. The intern will also assist with medical Administration tasks such as filing and digitizing documents and preparing forms for signatures, along with any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the unit.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must be in the final stages of their studies at a recognized university, with a strong academic record. A minimum of three years of university studies in psychology, social sciences, or medicine is required. While practical experience is not mandatory, relevant experience may be considered an asset. Candidates should possess strong teamwork skills, good computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office applications, and some knowledge of psycho-social issues. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to work in a diverse and multicultural environment.

Educational Background:
Candidates must have completed at least three years of university studies in a relevant field such as psychology, social sciences, or medicine. They should be in the final stages of their academic program and demonstrate a very good academic performance throughout their studies.

Experience:
The Internship is designed for candidates in the early stages of their professional careers. While practical experience is not a prerequisite, any relevant experience may enhance a candidate's application. Applicants must have less than three years of relevant full-time professional experience to qualify for the internship.

Languages:
Proficiency in English is required for this internship, as it is one of the official working languages of the ICC. A working knowledge of French and/or Dutch is considered an asset, as it would facilitate communication within the multicultural environment of the Court.

The internship is unfunded, meaning that the ICC does not provide any remuneration or reimbursement for expenses incurred during the internship. Candidates must be able to support themselves financially for the entire duration of the internship, which runs from 16 January 2025 to 11 July 202
