Job Description

   

The ICT officer for the NRC Jordan Country Office is responsible for ensuring all NRC Global & Local
ICT policies and guidelines are implemented and to ensure the efficient and cost-effective set-up, also will be responsible for Technical Support and training for staff.

    ICT policies and guidelines are implemented and to ensure the efficient and cost-effective set-up, also will be responsible for technical support and training for staff.

    Generic responsibilities (max 10)



  2. Ensure adherence with NRC policies, tools, handbooks and guidelines.
  3. Implement delegated support function portfolio according to plan of action.
  4. Prepare and develop status reports as required by management.
  5. Ensure proper filing of documents.
  6. Promote and share ideas for improvement of the support function.
  7. Actively promote PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards & principles within NRC and amongst beneficiaries served by NRC.

     

    Specific responsibilities

    ICT Officer –Azraq (Camp Area) Office is primarily responsible for running ICT Operations in Azraq
    Camp, and act as backup for ICT Officers in other Duty Station, responsibilities are including but not
    limited to:

  8. Keep computer systems running smoothly and ensure users get the maximum benefit from them.
  9. Install and configure computer hardware Operating Systems and applications
  10. Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks, (Anti-Virus Secure Portal Administration" id="link" class="link">System Administration)
  11. Talk staff through a series of actions, either face-to-face or over the phone, to help set up
    systems or resolve issues.
  12. Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults
  13. Replace parts as required.
  14. Provide support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports (Internet Usage, Project Status reports)
  15. Follow diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system
  16. Support the roll-out of new applications, Train Users, and provide awareness sessions.
  17. Set up new users' accounts and profiles and deal with password issues and follow up with access levels.
  18. Conduct ICT induction for New Joiners and perform ICT Asset Checkups for Exit users.
  19. Assist Technical Officers and ICT Officers in conducting tests and evaluate new technologies.
  20. Workstation Management: act as first level support on NRC Jordan (Azraq) maintenance,
    provide technical diagnostics, coordinate with ICT Officer Amman.
  21. Assist in ICT Asset Disposal Process: check equipment, provide recommendation, conduct secure wipe, etc…
  22. Assure that all software on NRC equipment (for Staff & Program) is licensed and keep record of licenses and support contracts to include notification of renewal timeframe to management.
  23. Keep track of Computers Encryption keys.

    ICT Officer – Azraq tasks are subject to ICT Unit Priorities \ Strategy \ and Unit Action Plan. Any change in Strategy might affect the direct responsibilities assigned, and will be listed in the WDP
