Job Description
Position: Legal Assistance (ICLA) Coordinator
Reports to: Legal Assistance (ICLA) Specialist
Supervision of: None
Duty station: Yangon
Travel: 20%
Specific responsibilities
Conducting Desk Research and Analysis on legal identity; housing, land, Property Rights, and other relevant legal assistance issues in Myanmar in cooperation with the ICLA Specialist.Assisting with Monitoring and Evaluation activities, guidelines, databases and KoBO forms Assisting with preparation for, and fully participating in scoping, visit by partners, including training workshops, meetings, and field visits. Liaising closely with the NRC’s ICLA field staff and providing them with training and other Technical Support.Conducting Field Research, writing up the research findings into a draft report for review, and finalising reports in cooperation with the ICLA Specialist.Organizing and participating in a stakeholder roundtables, trainings, workshops, and other events.Developing additional advocacy and awareness raising tools for dissemination in cooperation with the ICLA Specialist.Conducting advocacy, awareness raising, and training on access to civil documents, Collaborative Dispute Resolution, and Housing, Land, and Property issues in cooperation with the ICLA Specialist.Generic professional competencies for this position:
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience within field of expertiseLegal background or substantive experience in legal issues in MyanmarKnowledge of international standards on nationality issues and access to civil documents.
