Job Overview:
The Human Resources Director (HR Director) position at the American Heart Association is a pivotal role within the Midwest region, which encompasses 13 states. This position acts as a strategic business partner and Advisor to both leaders and employees, focusing on the development and implementation of human resources strategies that align with the Association's goals. Duties and Responsibilities:

Additionally, the HR Director will analyze key HR metrics and reports to provide insights for improving culture and leadership. The role includes improving performance by identifying barriers and implementing coaching strategies, creating and facilitating training sessions, and leading region-wide HR projects that align with organizational goals. The HR Director will also collaborate with other HR functions and participate in cross-functional projects as needed.
Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the HR Director position must possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Preferred qualifications include SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP or SPHR/PHR certifications. A minimum of three years of proven experience in human resources is required, with at least two years focused on employee and leadership coaching. Training facilitation experience is also preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, along with effective interpersonal skills to relate to individuals at all levels.
