Job Description

  Under the supervision of the Deputy Chief of Party at the assigned location, the Coordinator" id="link" class="link">Finance Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the finance activities, financial controls, and computerised accounting systems in line with Save the Children's financial procedures. S/he will support the Deputy Chief of Party Operations in both Grand Gedeh and River Gee in Financial Management, by advising on compliance, supporting monthly awards review meetings, coordinating BVA feedback, and working with budget holders to ensure implementation is on track. The Finance Coordinator is a senior member of Regional Programme Office Zwedru and Field Management Team (FMT).

In this challenging environment, the Finance Coordinator will be responsible for compliance with critical SCI policies, ensuring that financial resources of the organization are shepherded in an accountable and transparent manner.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • A first degree in Commerce Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or related field. Post-graduate diploma preferred.
  • Part II qualified in a recognized professional qualification in Accounting (CPA, ACCA).
  • Minimum 5 years similar work experience within a fast paced work environment.
  • Excellent communication skills (Verbal and Written).
  • Fluency (Verbal and Written) in English is required.
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Strong team player, collaborative and capable of building effective relationships across all levels.
  • Strong results orientation, with the ability to challenge existing mind-sets.
  • Problem Solving and risk mitigating skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and financial software such as Agresso.
  • Comply with the requirements of Save the Children's Safeguarding Policy and other Global Policies.

Contract length: 1 Year Renewable
