For more information, visit  Information technology is an integral part of the strategic initiatives for all the Core Business Functions at IFC. Corporate Information Technologies (CIT) Teams provides comprehensive IT support for IFC's Investment & Advisory Services, Financial Operations, Treasury & the Asset Management Company. A robust engagement model with business ensures prioritization of the business requirements & focus on delivery. The application landscape encompasses a wide variety of In-house and Customized COTS products (such as ACBS, Summit, etc.,) which meets the business needs of IFC departments.   The Technical landscape is continuously updated & some of the core technologies include ReactJS, JQuery, .NET Framework, .NET Core, NodeJS, Mule ESB, Pega, Postgres, Oracle, MongoDB, Documentum, SharePoint, O365, Apigee. Most of the application would be deployed on AWS and Azure Cloud environment. A plethora of IT Risk Management & Quality Assurance products are also used for an enhanced value of Service delivery.    The Solutions and Data unit in Corporate Information Technology (CIT) department is seeking an Extended Term Consultant with a combination of deep technical understanding of designing enterprise solutions and working with multiple teams including vendor partners for application delivery and implementation. The position requires a highly motivated and versatile candidate with extensive technical knowledge on the latest tools and platforms in solution designing, with strong hands-on experience.   Responsibilities •Work hands on with development of complex enterprise applications by leveraging Cloud, Agile and DevSecOps methodologies for scalable delivery.  •Work on configuring Cloud and OnPrem platforms & enabling tools to accelerate application delivery with highest quality.  •Develop scalable solution design for IFC’s Front office, Middle office and Back office enterprise applications.   •Implement enterprise grade solutions leveraging .Net, Java, Mule ESB, Pega, REST API's and AWS/Azure cloud services.  •Work with implementation staff across CIT, WBG shared services and vendor partners to build, implement and deliver complex enterprise programs.  •Work closely with the performance engineering and application implementation teams to design and implement high performing applications in IFC field offices which have low bandwidth and high latency.  •Work on designing business solutions in microservice and cloud native architecture pattern.   •Conduct PoCs on cloud technologies and develop scalable design patterns that works within WBG security standards.  •Conduct code reviews and quality control on vendor deliverables. Automate the white box testing with tools like sonarqube & other code review tools. •Enforce all agreed design patterns on the vendor application delivery by conducting code & configuration audits.  •Design applications leveraging cloud native services on AWS and Azure to accelerate deployments and reduce maintenance costs due to managed service components by the cloud providers.  •Participates in systems integration efforts, executing as needed to integrate new applications into the installed base.  •Performs coding and/or configuration to meet documented needs, utilizing standard procedures and techniques.  •Tests own work, leads peer reviews, and contributes to the development of test plans and participates in post-implementation reviews.  •Writes system documentation.  •Understands various cloud developmental approaches especially on AWS and Azure and is willing to learn as new services are introduced in them.   •Deep understanding of leveraging tools like Azure App Insight and Splunk to diagnose and build robust performant applications   •Ensure Vendor solution deliveries are fully instrumented using Azure App Insight/ AWS Xray. •Experience at designing, developing, implementing and overseeing very large and complex data integration applications involving complex Mapping and reduction scenarios   •Experience in emerging technology industry trends, including user research, design, agile, cloud solutions, process automation, big data, DevOps. •Work closely with the Office of Information Security and application delivery teams to ensure that the IFC enterprise applications are aligned with the institutional security guidelines and processes and the security posture of IFC applications are strong.  •Independent contributor IT professional, with expertise in a variety of tools, providing value to the business through effective process Analysis and requirements development and documentation.  •Interfaces with business analysts, project managers, and/or clients to clarify requirements. Develops technical specifications.  •May serve as application support technical lead on small sized projects.  •Performs root cause and impact analysis of the issues and propose and validate fixes to address them.   •Establishes systems to monitor the operating efficiency of existing application systems and provides (or arranges for) proactive maintenance.  •Participates in systems design, working within an established framework. Typically provides direction to a team of staff and contractors in their area of expertise and may be responsible for managing performance of team members.  •Strong experience in working with distributed vendor teams and the associated challenges. Selection Criteria

•Master’s degree from an accredited college/university in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields with 2 years relevant experience or Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 4 years relevant experience. •Minimum of 7 years of prior experience working in team that develop & deliver enterprise applications preferably Banking & financial sector.  •Solution Architecting Experience in small-medium complex Portal, BPM and Integration transformation programs delivered in a multi-vendor scenario.  •Experience with containers Docker, Kubernetes & Microservices related technology stacks. •Experience in AWS and Azure cloud platforms specifically, Compute, Storage and Analytics.  •Experience in both .NET Core, NodeJS worlds from a solution architecting perspective, involving COTS and bespoke development  •Knowledge and experience in Enterprise Architecture frameworks, Solution Design, modeling, design and implementation   •Experience in PEGA and MuleSoft is highly desirable.  •Proficient in translating business processes into Information/Solution architecture blueprints, experience developing Integration Architecture for various Information exchange across various Enterprise systems  •Proficient in Architecture Constructs - (Architecture & Design patterns, SOA etc.), Development Methodologies (Agile, Iterative etc.)   •Understands and maintains market trends in technology space. •Experience working with various stakeholders (business, technology etc.) and conducting workshops to obtain relevant information   •Excellent oral and written communication, documentation and presentation skills   •Good to have Financial Services experience.
