Job Overview:
The Executive Director, Development position at the American Heart Association is a pivotal leadership role that requires a dynamic individual to drive Fundraising efforts and engage with the community in Collin County, Texas. This role involves working closely with high-level executives and managing a team to achieve a fundraising goal exceeding $2 million. The Executive Director will be responsible for Strategic Planning, Volunteer engagement, and fostering corporate partnerships. The position demands a proactive approach to networking and generating new contacts to support the Association's mission and fundraising initiatives. Duties and Responsibilities:
The Executive Director will have a comprehensive set of responsibilities, including but not limited to: driving results through effective volunteer recruitment and management; strategic planning to meet sales and fundraising goals; sustaining existing corporate partnerships while building new ones; cultivating major donors and securing large corporate sponsorships; leading and coaching staff to align with the overall goals of the market; collaborating with internal partners to drive specific cause initiatives; and participating in community and corporate functions to enhance networking opportunities. The role requires a hands-on approach to fundraising and Community Engagement, ensuring that the AHA's mission is effectively communicated and supported.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Executive Director position should possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with a strong preference for those with at least 5 years of successful experience in non-profit fundraising or a similar field. Additionally, candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of managerial experience, ideally leading a sales or fundraising team. Experience in managing relationships with high-level leaders at the C-suite level is essential, along with direct knowledge of special event fundraising tactics. A solid understanding of philanthropic communities and the ability to travel within the Collin County area are also required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is necessary for this role.

Educational Background:
