Job Overview:
The Executive Director, Development position is a pivotal leadership role within the American Heart Association, specifically focused on Collin County, Texas. This role is responsible for driving revenue generation and Fundraising efforts to support the AHA's mission. The Executive Director will work closely with high-level executives and the Volunteer Board of Directors to foster engagement and development within the community. The position requires Strategic Planning and management of a fundraising goal exceeding $2 million, necessitating strong leadership skills and the ability to cultivate relationships with major donors and corporate sponsors. The Executive Director will also participate in community and corporate functions to network and generate new contacts for the Association's mission and fundraising initiatives. Duties and Responsibilities:
The Executive Director will have a comprehensive set of responsibilities, including:

Required Qualifications:

- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of successful experience in non-profit fundraising or a similar field.
- At least 3 years of managerial experience, ideally leading a sales or fundraising team in a comparable organization.
- Proven experience in managing and cultivating relationships with high-level leaders at the C-suite level.
- Direct knowledge of special event fundraising tactics is crucial for success in this role.
- The ability to travel daily within the Collin County area, requiring reliable transportation.
- A solid understanding of how to engage and work with philanthropic communities.
- Basic knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications are necessary.
