Job Overview:
The Event Planning Director plays a crucial role in coordinating and executing Fundraising events within the Eastern States Region, specifically focusing on Philadelphia and Baltimore. This position reports directly to the Senior Director of Business Operations and is responsible for overseeing event logistics, vendor negotiations, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies. The director will work closely with local teams to identify event requirements, address challenges, and implement effective solutions. The director will also be involved in Financial Management, ensuring accurate donor transactions and timely payments, while maintaining a high level of service and attention to detail in all communications and documentation.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Event Planning Director's primary responsibilities include planning event logistics, sourcing vendors, negotiating contracts, and collaborating with the legal team to address contractual and insurance risks. The director will supervise a team of four administrative staff, providing training and support in various areas such as office management, event Coordination, and data Analysis. The role also involves analyzing campaign data, preparing presentations, and maintaining compliance with branding guidelines and legal requirements. The director will attend events to assist with setup and execution, ensuring a seamless experience for all participants. Additionally, the director will be responsible for maintaining high service levels in customer inquiries and performing other duties as needed to support the Business Operations Department.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Event Planning Director position should possess a college degree in a business-related field and have a minimum of three years of experience in vendor negotiations, contract review, and Event Management. Strong leadership skills are essential, as the director will be expected to train and guide an administrative team. Excellent written and oral communication skills are required, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly PowerPoint, Word, and Excel. The ability to adapt to changing responsibilities and work effectively with assertive teams is also crucial for success in this role.
