Job Description

  Support the collection, compilation, storage and Analysis of beneficiary and stakeholder data to inform better interventions for children and families and improve reporting. To support information sharing within clusters, among partners and sector leads at the national level. To support the Education Cluster in forecasting people in need numbers for the purpose of the Humanitarian Planning Cycle and the 3RP planning.

In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.

Deliverable 1: Data collection and analysis

* Support in collecting the segregated data weekly/monthly using agreed formats including 5ws and analyse the collected data to improve clusters performance including for emergencies of new emergencies.

* Support in collect the data on education situation in the assigned areas/governorate from the identified sources monthly and contribute to SitRep (situation report) for Education Cluster and OCHA.

* Support in data collection on camp closure and displacement/ returnees and contribute to education response to displaced/returnee children.

* Support to data collection on non-formal learning centres and maintain the data on non-formal learning including learners, facilitators, facilities, geographical presence.

* Support to maintain data set for specific projects.

* Support to implement existing cloud-based data collection platforms for any assessments (e.g. KoBo).

Deliverable 2: Evidence based advocacy

* Support to produce snapshot/dashboard on education based on the data collected from the respective sources. This should be adapted to the current needs (e.g. the Covid-19 crisis).

* Support to produce monthly Mapping of impact of camp closure and displacement on education.

* Support to produce quarterly maps and infographics on camp closure and displacement/ return.

* Support to produce specific project intervention info graphs (ECW, IHF) quarterly.

* Support to produce IM products adapted to the current needs (e.g. the Covid-19 crisis).

Deliverable 3: Needs assessment

* Support in multi-sectoral and inter-sectoral needs assessment.

* Support the cluster partners in conducting needs assessment in their areas of intervention on request.

Deliverable 4: Support to cluster strategic Coordination with IM related work

* Take minutes of the monthly meetings and timely share with the partners.

* Update the contact of partners * Attend sub-cluster team meetings and follow up with challenges, or where more support needed Deliverable 5: Support information management Capacity Building

* Support in developing a guide for reporting data in using recommended template.

* Support in developing a guide for using KoBo for data collection.

* Support conducting including online capacity building training based on the training BEHAVIOURS (Values in Practice) Accountability:

* University degree preferably in geographic information systems, information technology, information systems, Computer Science, or another relevant technical field.

* Training in Education in Emergencies or Child Protection an advantage EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

* A minimum of one year of relevant professional experience in a similar role.

* Strong communication (written and spoken), and interpersonal skills in English, with experience in managing multicultural teams * Proven statistical, analytic and technical skills including database management and data analysis, high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) * Ability to maintain basic websites, produce data summaries and visualizations, * GIS knowledge an advantage.

* Familiarity with Emergency and Cluster Coordination as well as information systems such as EMIS.

* Fluency in English and working knowledge of Arabic and Kurdish.
