We have an excellent opportunity for a Temporary, Part-Time Development Specialist in Lexington. The Specialist will work approximately 20 hours per week.

The primary responsibility will be to handle corporate Fundraising, Volunteer recruitment and management, and event Logistics for our corporate fundraising campaigns in the Lexington market.


  • Focus on renewing corporate teams for Heart Walk and setting/leading goal-setting meetings, as needed.
  • Supporting the auction for our Heart Ball event, including assisting with recruiting and managing a volunteer committee.
  • Assisting in securing individual giving donations, focusing on recommits and Open Your Heart gifts for events.
  • Providing overall support for event logistics based on national best practices.

  • Experience in fundraising or outside sales or in a non-profit organization in a similar capacity.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to thrive in a results-driven and collaborative environment with highly effective organization, multi-tasking, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Must have at least basic knowledge and skill with Microsoft Office.
