Job Overview:
The Development Coordinator position at the American Heart Association in Milwaukee is a full-time role that provides essential administrative support to the Fundraising staff, specifically for events such as the Heart Walk and Hard Hats with Heart. This position is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of fundraising activities and volunteer management. The Development Coordinator will be involved in various tasks that include coordinating Logistics for events, maintaining databases, handling financial transactions, and providing excellent customer service to sponsors, volunteers, and donors. Duties and Responsibilities:
The Development Coordinator will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to: assisting staff with daily administrative tasks that support fundraising and volunteer recruitment; coordinating logistics for events, which includes pre-event planning, day-of execution, and post-event follow-up; developing and maintaining information in Computer Software programs; overseeing report generation and record-keeping; handling financial tasks such as paying invoices and processing donations; supporting the planning and execution of internal meetings and events; performing general office management duties; and establishing and maintaining superior customer service relations with sponsors, volunteers, and donors. The role requires the ability to travel to local events and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must have at least 2 years of related administrative experience and must have earned a high school diploma or GED. Proficiency in using a Database Management system, preferably a CRM, is required, along with experience using Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is essential, and candidates should demonstrate the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and provide excellent customer service. The role also requires the physical ability to lift and move large objects and reliable transportation for event travel.

Educational Background:
A high school diploma or GED is the minimum educational requirement for this position. While further education is not explicitly required, candidates with additional qualifications in Administration, communications, or related fields may have an advantage.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 2 years of relevant administrative experience. This experience should ideally include roles that involved customer service, event Coordination, and database management.
