CARE is seeking a talented Director" id="link" class="link">Deputy Director of Program Operations (DDPO) to support CARE Turkiye’s Cross Border (X-Border) Programs. The Deputy Director will be responsible for the leadership, management, and general technical direction of the entire portfolio of USAID/BHA grant.
In this role, the DDPO will manage and lead CARE Turiye’s X- Border Programs, and will work closely with relevant Program Managers, and will collaborate closely with relevant Country Office Program Quality, Finance, procurement, HR and Risk Management staff.
The Deputy Director will be responsible for the overall leadership of CARE Turkiye’s largest single grant, that combines multiple program sectors with multiple implementing modalities, both through local partners and CARE internal partners. The DDPO will plan all aspects of Program Implementation, cultivate strong relations with the donor, lead on program financials and program reporting and work to mitigate, and manage risks related to grant implementation. This leadership role will work closely with, and report directly to the Director, Program Implementation.
Responsibilities:
Program Operations Management Internal Coordination ensuring all internal stakeholders are aware of and engaged in the delivery of the assigned projects Donor and External Stakeholder Representation. Builds and maintains productive working relationships with USAID staff and key stakeholders Compliance and Quality Control. Leads on mitigating and managing compliance related risks
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Social Science, Public Administration, Business Administration, Developmental Studies) Certified in Project Management (e.g. PMD Pro) or equivalent combination of education and work experience 7+ years of experience in humanitarian project management in fragile Contexts Demonstrated experience working with bilateral US Government funding, preferably from USAID Demonstrated experience managing large and complex project budgets Experience managing at least three of the following sectors: Protection, WASH, Shelter, Livelihoods, Emergency response, or cash programming Strong experience with donor communication and reporting#LI-AM2
