Job Overview:
The CRC Technical Advisor II - Climate Finance position is designed for individuals who are passionate about climate change and finance. The role involves providing technical expertise and guidance on climate finance strategies and initiatives. The advisor will work closely with government agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders to develop and implement climate finance projects. The position requires a deep understanding of climate finance mechanisms, including funding sources, investment strategies, and policy frameworks. The advisor will also be responsible for Capacity Building and Knowledge Sharing among partners to enhance their understanding of climate finance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide technical advice on climate finance strategies and initiatives to stakeholders.
- Develop and implement climate finance projects in collaboration with government agencies and NGOs.
- Conduct research and Analysis on climate finance trends, funding sources, and investment opportunities.
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions to build capacity among partners on climate finance.
- Prepare reports and presentations on climate finance activities and outcomes.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of climate finance projects and initiatives.
- Collaborate with international organizations and networks to share best practices and lessons learned in climate finance.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of climate finance mechanisms and policies.
- Experience in Project Management and implementation in the climate finance sector.
- Excellent analytical and research skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a multicultural environment.
Educational Background:
A master's degree in environmental science, finance, economics, or a related field is required. Additional certifications in climate finance or project management are a plus.
Experience:
A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in climate finance, project management, or related fields is required. Experience working with government agencies, NGOs, and international organizations is highly desirable.
Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory. Knowledge of local languages in the Philippines is an advantage but not required.
