Job Description

The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is an independent humanitarian organisation helping people forced to flee. We deliver high-quality aid where needs are greatest. Today, we work in both new and protracted crises across 31 countries, where we provide Camp Management, food assistance, clean water, shelter, Legal Aid, and education. Today, a record 70.8 million people are fleeing war and persecution. Not since World War Two have more people needed our help. The Norwegian Refugee Council assisted over 8.5 million people worldwide in 2018, and with your support, we can help even more.


NRC is requesting competitive proposals from qualified firms or individual consultants, registered in their respective countries as LTD or Sole-Traders, interested in a consultancy service about Exploring opportunities for programming for NRC in the sector of Livelihoods and Security" id="link" class="link">Food Security (LFS) in Lebanon.

The main purpose of the evaluation: a) Improve NRC’s understanding of the coping strategies adopted by refugees and Lebanese below the poverty line in Lebanon and establish determinants of welfare.

b) Provide an overview of the Livelihoods and Food Security (LFS) programming in Lebanon, with focus on those supporting identified key coping strategies.

c) Develop NRC positioning (strategy) on LFS in Lebanon.

d) Contribute to the Resource Mobilization of the LFS strategy.
