MicroMentor connects entrepreneurs and business mentors on an easy-to-use social platform that strives to overcome geographical limitations and deliver business resources at scale to under-resourced communities around the globe. Purpose / Project Description:
MicroMentor is looking for a consultant passionate about Community Engagement and management. Their role will contribute to the success of the MicroMentor for English and Spanish-speaking communities and for customer networks housing their mentoring initiatives on our platform. They will monitor, post, and engage users at MicroMentor Mentor Forum, Mentor What's app groups, and Mentor and Entrepreneurs Gatherings while connecting individually and on a user case base with entrepreneurs and mentors. The consultant will play a key role in achieving success for customers and channel partners by ensuring their communities are having a satisfactory user experience.

Consultant Activities

Organize and prepare materials for Monthly Mentor Gatherings and Entrepreneurs Gatherings in Spanish and English. Conduct Mentor and Entrepreneur Gatherings when needed, capturing participation and key insights from the meetings to share with the MicroMentor team. Daily monitor engagement at MicroMentor Mentor Forum, and engage in discussions and new topics in the forum to increase participation. Conduct individual calls with entrepreneurs and mentors case by case as needed Reach entrepreneurs and mentors via the MicroMentor platform to welcome them, and share best practices for their usage. Weekly post on Whats app group for LATAM with Create, Design, and conduct, when needed relevant training for other mentors that are earlier in their career.Engage directly with entrepreneurs and mentors in the platform, and support users to connect to the right mentor or entrepreneur for them, specifically for customer communities.Every two weeks, prepare a digest of entrepreneurs with no connections to share and request support from active mentors that are relevant to help.

Required Experience & Skills:

Experience in community management Strong communication skills both written and oral Minimum of 5-10 years of relevant technical experience Bilingual English/Spanish Proven ability to effectively build interpersonal relationships and achieve alignment across a wide range of functions and constituents Intercultural communication skills and awareness are a must Knowledge of customer service practices Technical aptitude and ability to learn new software systems Experience with Forum Management is a plus Experience with Whatsapp Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Flexible approach and an ability to operate effectively with uncertainty and change Driven, self-motivated, enthusiastic, and with a “can do” attitude
