Job Description

Chemonics International seeks a Compensation Analyst to join the Human Resources Division in Washington DC. The Compensation Analyst supports the development of a global compensation structure and maintains, administers, and advises on Chemonics International’s compensation policy, practices, and procedures. The Compensation Analyst will work collaboratively with program office HR practitioners, proposal teams, HRBPs, HR leads, and HR management on international and US compensation issues and programs. The compensation analyst will ensure compliance with all internal and external state, federal and international regulations and may serve as a consultant internally. In addition, the compensation analyst will operate as a key partner and resource to the entire Human Resources team and internal clients domestically and internationally. Responsibilities include:
  • Support the development of a new global compensation strategy that aligns with our culture, corporate strategies and priorities, and operational goals. Activities include facilitating stakeholder input, conducting comparable research and market pricing, developing models, facilitating stakeholder discussions, and designing a strategy that has broad stakeholder support
  • Contribute to strategy development and establish international market-pricing methodology, salary survey acquisition, job leveling, and titling consistent with compensation trends and Chemonics’ business needs and objectives
  • Develop key partnerships with business and Support Division teams to ensure consistency of policy and pay practices throughout Chemonics operations globally
  • Work with business unit, operations, new business, Talent Management and others to develop training tools and educate employees on all areas of compensation, including market Analysis, Administration, policy interpretation and internal equity assessment
  • Make cohesive recommendations to drive process improvements in order to advance compensation workflows and program delivery
  • Provide data analytic support in partnership with HRIS, business, and support divisions
  • Manage external compensation consultant and vendor relationships and coordinate international compensation survey resources for annual and ad hoc compensation reviews
  • Keeps apprised of federal, state, local and international compensation laws and regulations in order to ensure compliance
  • Collaborate and provide internal consulting resources to HR leadership and organizational senior management in support of international staff compensation strategies
  • Support Senior Leadership with clear communications and management strategies regarding international compensation competitiveness, merits, promotions, equity adjustments, bonuses, and awards programs
  • Monitor the effectiveness of existing compensation policies, guidelines and procedures
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required
  • Minimum 3 or more years of relevant compensation experience. International and government contracting experience preferred
  • Thorough understanding of international compensation practices
  • Mastery of critical project management skills, including budget management, contractual compliance, client relations and knowledge of client, and personnel management
  • Prior leadership on a project management team
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both verbal and written communications; strong cross-culture communication and sensitivity skills
  • Demonstrated ability to follow standard practices and procedures, receive general instruction on work progress, and make significant contribution to end results
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrated resourcefulness in Problem Solving and initiative to learn new skills
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office applications and word processing abilities
  • Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
