Job Overview:
The OECD Trade and Agriculture Directorate (TAD) is seeking a digital-savvy communications coordinator who will play a crucial role in enhancing the visibility and accessibility of the Directorate's work. The selected candidate will assist in preparing and disseminating communications that highlight TAD's insights on trade, agriculture, and fisheries. This position involves collaborating with various teams within TAD and across the OECD to ensure effective communication strategies are implemented. The coordinator will report to the Communications Manager and will be responsible for supporting outreach efforts and the Director's Office's communication priorities. The role requires a proactive approach to engage diverse audiences and create impactful content that resonates with stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The main responsibilities of the Communications Coordinator include coordinating communications for TAD publications and events, liaising with project leads to ensure effective communication planning, maintaining the TAD communication calendar, and acting as a point of contact for TAD communications. The coordinator will also be responsible for developing clear and accessible messaging, proofreading and publishing various written content, ensuring the quality of web content, and supporting Social Media campaigns. Additionally, the role involves contributing to reporting and analysis to optimize TAD's communications strategy and content.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a university degree in communications, Journalism, or a related field. A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a communications role with similar responsibilities is required, preferably in an international context. Excellent editorial skills and the ability to present information clearly and compellingly are essential. Familiarity with SEO best practices and experience in one of TAD's areas of expertise would be advantageous. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and knowledge of graphic Design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite or Canva are also important.

Educational Background:
The position requires a university degree in communications, journalism, or a related field. This educational background is essential for understanding the principles of effective communication and content creation, which are critical for the role.

Experience:
The ideal candidate should have at least 2-3 years of professional experience in a communications role that involves similar responsibilities. Experience in an international environment is preferred, as it provides valuable insights into the complexities of global communications and stakeholder engagement.

Languages:
Fluency in one of the two OECD official languages (English and French) is mandatory, along with knowledge of the other language, with a commitment to reach a good working level. Knowledge of additional languages would be considered an asset, enhancing the candidate's ability to communicate with diverse audiences.

Additional Notes:
This position is a one-year fixed-term appointment with the possibility of renewal. The closing date for applications is midnight on 26 September 2024 (CEST). The monthly base salary starts from 4,994 EUR, plus allowances based on eligibility, and is exempt from French income tax. The selection process includes written tests and panel interviews scheduled for October and November 2024, respectively.
