Job Overview:
The Chargé(e) de mission européenne is responsible for developing and monitoring operational Development Strategies and advocacy efforts for Solidarités International at the European level. This role involves conducting a comparative study to identify opportunities for SI's deployment across Europe. The individual will analyze inter-associative opportunities for advocacy actions and submissions at the European level to address Human Rights violations related to water and sanitation. Furthermore, the Chargé(e) will explore institutional funding possibilities to ensure the sustainability of the position and related activities beyond the initial contract period. The first few months will focus on conducting a comparative study of issues, actors, and opportunities within EU countries to propose a targeted approach for a more exploratory second phase.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct a comparative study on the challenges, actors, and opportunities in EU countries to inform strategic targeting for future initiatives.
- Develop and implement operational development strategies and advocacy plans at the European level.
- Analyze public policy, focusing on rights and effectiveness related to water and sanitation.
- Identify funding opportunities and budget for proposed actions.
- Establish and maintain networks with stakeholders to enhance advocacy efforts.
- Prepare reports and synthesize findings from analyses and studies.
- Collaborate with team members and departments to align objectives and strategies.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of advocacy actions and operational strategies.
- Engage with communities and beneficiaries to understand their needs and challenges.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the humanitarian sector.
- 0-2 years of experience in a similar position.
- Strong technical skills in public policy Analysis, report synthesis, Needs Assessment, and stakeholder identification.
- Excellent written and Oral Communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and create networks with stakeholders.
Educational Background:
A relevant degree in humanitarian studies, Social Sciences, public policy, or a related field is preferred. Additional certifications in Project Management or advocacy may be advantageous.
Experience:
Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in the humanitarian sector, with 0-2 years in a similar role. Experience in advocacy and public policy analysis is crucial for this position.
Languages:
Fluency in French and English is mandatory. Proficiency in another EU language is considered an asset.

- The role can be based in one of the SI offices located in Nantes, Paris, Marseille, or Toulouse. The gross monthly salary ranges from €3,183 to €3,316, depending on the current salary scale.
