Job Overview:
The Associate Vice President, Development (AVP) will play a crucial role in leading the Heart Walk Fundraising campaign in the Boston, MA office. This position is responsible for overseeing a team of two direct reports and driving corporate and individual fundraising efforts, with a focus on securing gifts ranging from $25K to $100K. The AVP will be expected to demonstrate success through the growth of peer-to-peer fundraising, the acquisition of new company teams, and the development of a 15-person Volunteer leadership committee. Duties and Responsibilities:
The AVP will be responsible for planning, coordinating, staffing, and advising the Boston market’s Heart Walk campaign initiatives. Key responsibilities include mentoring and supervising assigned staff, ensuring the team meets or exceeds annual revenue goals, engaging and mobilizing corporate and community leaders, leading sponsorships and relationships, and developing and monitoring the Heart Walk budget. The AVP will also prepare plans and communications for key meetings, coordinate with business operations for seamless donor experiences, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement market strategies. The role requires a proactive approach to identifying and acquiring new companies for Heart Walk teams and empowering employers to establish recruitment and monetary goals.

Required Qualifications:

Management experience, particularly in leading a sales or fundraising team, is preferred. A validated ability to achieve results through volunteer cultivation and management, along with a consistent track record of exceeding sales or fundraising goals, is essential.
