Job Overview:
The Application Support Assistant will be a key member of the HRM Systems team within the Human Resource Management Service (HRM) of the OECD. This role involves providing support for HR applications, managing business processes, and facilitating the deployment of new features and technologies. The assistant will work closely with business process owners, product managers, and the analytics team, reporting directly to the HRM support lead. The position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, ensuring that HR Information Systems are functioning optimally and that users are well-trained and supported. The assistant will also play a crucial role in validating and rolling out enhancements to business processes, ensuring that the HR systems meet the evolving needs of the organization.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The main responsibilities of the Application Support Assistant include providing application support and training on the OECD’s HR information systems, participating in the definition and execution of support plans for all HR systems, analyzing and resolving incidents, documenting potential bugs, ensuring the ITSM incident categorization model is up to date, drafting support procedures and end-user documentation, organizing and providing training to various user audiences, actively participating in the validation and rollout of business process enhancements, and updating KPIs and activity reports on HRIS Support Function. The assistant will also be responsible for evaluating the sensitivity of incidents and escalating complex issues as necessary to ensure timely resolution.
Required Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should possess a university degree in Information Technology and/or Human Resources. A minimum of two years of experience providing user support for digital solutions in a structured environment is required, along with proven experience in drafting user support documentation and providing training. The candidate should have the ability to analyze support activities, identify trends, and propose solutions. Familiarity with HRIS used in the context of the OECD is preferable, as is experience in an international and cross-cultural environment. Knowledge of the OECD's administrative and human resource procedures would be considered an advantage.
Educational Background:
Candidates must have a university degree in information technology and/or human resources. This educational background is essential for understanding the technical and operational aspects of the HR information systems that the assistant will support.
Experience:
A minimum of two years of professional experience in providing user support for digital solutions is required. This experience should be in a structured environment where ITIL practices or similar frameworks are applied. The candidate should have a proven track record of drafting user support documentation and providing training, as well as experience in analyzing support activities and identifying trends.
Languages:
Fluency in one of the two OECD official languages (English and French) is mandatory, along with a willingness to learn the other language. Knowledge of additional languages would be considered an asset, enhancing the candidate's ability to communicate in a diverse international environment.
Additional Notes:
The position is a two-year fixed-term appointment with the possibility of renewal. The monthly salary starts at 3,288.76 Euros, plus allowances based on eligibility, and is exempt from French income tax. The selection process includes written tests and video-recorded interviews in November, followed by panel interviews in December.
