Job Overview:
The Accompanied - Spouse position is designed for individuals who will be working alongside their partners in a supportive role. This position is crucial in ensuring that the spouse of the primary employee can contribute positively to the work environment and community. The role may involve various functions, including administrative support, Community Engagement, and participation in organizational events. The expectation is that the individual will be proactive in seeking opportunities to assist and enhance the work of CARE while also integrating into the local community. This position may require flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of the organization and the community.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative support to the primary employee, including scheduling meetings, managing correspondence, and organizing events.
  • Engage with local community members and organizations to foster relationships that benefit CARE's mission.
  • Participate in CARE events and initiatives, representing the organization positively.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Community Outreach programs.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a cohesive work environment.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
  • Support the primary employee in their role by providing feedback and insights from a community perspective.
  • Attend training and development sessions to enhance skills relevant to the position.

Required Qualifications:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience in administrative support or community engagement is preferred.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and initiative in seeking opportunities to contribute.

Educational Background:
A high school diploma is required, with a preference for candidates who have completed some college coursework or hold a degree in a relevant field such as Social Sciences, communications, or public Administration.

Experience:
Candidates should have at least 1-2 years of experience in administrative support, community engagement, or a related field. Experience working in a non-profit or humanitarian organization is a plus.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory. Knowledge of additional languages relevant to the local community is considered an asset.
