Job Overview:
The OECD's Science, Technology and Innovation Directorate (STI) is seeking Policy Analysts to support the Digital security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Security and Safety (DSS) Unit's work on critical topics related to digital policymaking. The selected candidates will contribute to projects focused on children's well-being in the digital environment and the challenges posed by false and misleading content online, as well as technology-facilitated gender-based violence. The role involves analyzing the impact of digital technologies on children's socio-economic conditions and well-being, developing evidence-based policies, and organizing seminars and workshops. The analysts will also engage with stakeholders to enhance the OECD's profile and impact in these areas, working under the supervision of the Head of the DSS Unit and the Head of the DCES Division.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The main responsibilities of the Policy Analysts include conducting research, drafting analytical reports, and preparing policy briefings related to online safety and well-being. They will identify and liaise with relevant experts, organize meetings and workshops, and contribute to the formulation of strategic goals and specific workstreams. The analysts will also assist in promoting awareness of DSS work among various stakeholders, maintain professional contacts, and participate in meetings with government delegates and experts. Additionally, they will coordinate engagement with external stakeholders and participate in workshops and conferences to develop and maintain media contacts.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess an advanced university degree in fields such as children’s rights, computer science, gender studies, information integrity, law, international relations, psychology, or other relevant social sciences. They should have a minimum of five years of experience in policy analysis, research, or front-line practice in areas related to children’s rights, gender-based violence, or false and misleading content online. Experience in online safety and knowledge of OECD's substantive work is essential, along with a strategic understanding of the OECD's role in international cooperation and domestic policy formulation.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes an advanced university degree in relevant fields such as children’s rights, computer science, gender studies, information integrity, law, international relations, psychology, or other social sciences that relate to online safety and well-being. This advanced degree is crucial for understanding the complexities of the issues at hand and for contributing effectively to the OECD's initiatives.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of five years of relevant experience in policy analysis, research, or practical roles such as a lawyer, social worker, or psychologist. Candidates should have experience specifically in the fields of children’s rights, gender-based violence, or false and misleading content online. Experience addressing sensitive topics such as counter-terrorism, gender-based violence, elder abuse, or child abuse, as well as involvement in national or international legal and policy responses, is considered an asset.

Languages:
Fluency in one of the two official OECD languages, English or French, is mandatory, along with a willingness to learn the other language. This bilingual requirement is essential for effective communication and collaboration within the organization and with external stakeholders.
