Job Overview:
The position of Missions at Solidarités International involves leading and strengthening the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) processes for the mission. The role is critical in ensuring high-quality program monitoring, providing technical support, facilitating data-driven decision-making, and integrating cross-cutting issues such as gender, accountability, and do-no-harm principles. The mission's strategic objective for 2026 is to enhance its expertise in Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) and Shelter, focusing on responding to emergencies and creating conditions for dignified returns or sustainable stays in stable areas. The MEAL coordinator will play a vital role in adapting to the evolving context of the conflict in Ukraine and ensuring that the mission's activities remain relevant and impactful.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The MEAL coordinator will be responsible for developing and implementing MEAL systems across multiple programs, ensuring that monitoring and evaluation processes are robust and effective. Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the design and implementation of MEAL frameworks and tools to assess program effectiveness.
• Conducting data collection and analysis to inform program decisions and reporting.
• Establishing accountability and complaints mechanisms to ensure beneficiary feedback is integrated into program design.
• Collaborating with field teams to provide methodological support and guidance on prioritization and evaluation.
• Building capacity within the team on monitoring and evaluation processes.
• Ensuring compliance with donor requirements and promoting continuous learning within the organization.
• Developing partnerships with local organizations to enhance monitoring and accountability processes.
• Conducting field visits to support MEAL teams and ensure clarity in roles and responsibilities.
• Managing data visualization projects and ensuring effective data management practices are in place. 1

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a diploma in Project Management or a related field. A minimum of 3-4 years of experience in the humanitarian sector is required, with 0-2 years in a similar position. Technical skills should include a good understanding of MEAL systems, data collection and analysis, and establishing accountability mechanisms. Candidates should also demonstrate strong communication skills, strategic planning abilities, and collaboration across teams and stakeholders. Knowledge of reporting and documentation practices is essential.

Educational Background:
A relevant educational background in Project Management or a related field is required for this position. Candidates should have formal training that equips them with the necessary skills to design and implement MEAL systems effectively.

Experience:
The position requires candidates to have 3-4 years of experience in the humanitarian sector, with at least 0-2 years in a similar role. This experience should include practical knowledge of MEAL processes and the ability to work in challenging environments, particularly in conflict-affected areas.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory for this position. Proficiency in Ukrainian or Russian is considered an asset, enhancing communication and collaboration within the local context.

Additional Notes:
The position is a salaried role with a starting gross salary of EUR 2860 per month, which includes a base salary and an annual leave allowance. Additionally, a monthly Per Diem of USD 700 is provided. SI covers accommodation costs and travel expenses for expatriates. The contract duration is for one year, with a system of alternating work and time off implemented at the rate of 7 working days every three months, along with an additional rest day per month worked.
