Job Posting Organization: The United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) is a prominent organization established by the UN General Assembly to promote sustainable urbanization and human settlements. UN-Habitat serves as the focal point for urbanization issues within the UN system, working collaboratively with various partners to foster inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable cities and communities. The organization aims to leverage urbanization as a transformative force to reduce inequality, discrimination, and poverty. The Global Water Operators’ Partnerships Alliance (GWOPA), initiated in 2009, is a key initiative under UN-Habitat that supports water and sanitation operators through peer support partnerships, enhancing their capacity and performance to provide better services in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
