Job Overview:
The Product Owner position at the World Bank Group is a pivotal role within the Information Technology Solutions (ITS) Vice Presidential Unit (VPU). This unit is dedicated to enhancing the operational efficiency of the World Bank Group by delivering transformative information and technologies to its staff across more than 150 locations. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying high-value AI opportunities, defining the long-term AI vision and roadmap, and working closely with development teams to establish requirements for AI-driven solutions. The role requires a deep understanding of product management, particularly in the context of AI and machine learning, and the ability to translate complex business needs into actionable product features. The Product Owner will also be tasked with driving adoption and change management for AI features, ensuring that operational teams are equipped to leverage these technologies effectively.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Product Owner include:

• Identifying high-value AI opportunities by analyzing workflows, pain points, and operational bottlenecks.
• Collaborating with the Product Manager to define the long-term AI vision and roadmap for agents and multi-agent systems.
• Working with development teams to define requirements for model selection, retrieval sources, and prompt orchestration.
• Monitoring agent performance using analytics to assess response quality and user satisfaction.
• Leading product marketing efforts for AI solutions by developing clear value propositions and communication assets.
• Driving adoption and change management for AI features through targeted campaigns and training materials.
• Translating sector team needs into clear product requirements and user journeys.
• Engaging with business stakeholders to understand their challenges and translate them into viable product features.
• Developing measurable product KPIs aligned with business goals. 1
• Actively monitoring client needs, industry trends, and user feedback. 1
• Managing vendor engagements to support product delivery and compliance.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Master's degree in STEM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 7 years of product management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate expertise in Artificial Intelligence (AI), with solid knowledge of machine learning and natural language processing. Proven ability to translate complex business requirements into impactful AI-enabled product features is essential. Experience in defining and executing AI product strategies, as well as familiarity with responsible AI frameworks, is also required. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in multicultural environments are critical for success in this role.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for the Product Owner position includes a Master's degree in a relevant STEM field, such as Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics. Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in a related field combined with significant product management experience is acceptable. Candidates should have a strong foundation in AI and machine learning principles, as well as experience in product management methodologies.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in product management, particularly in the field of Artificial Intelligence. Candidates should have a proven track record of successfully developing and launching technology products in large-scale environments. Experience in managing vendor engagements and collaborating with cross-functional teams is also essential.

Languages:
