Job Overview: The Project Manager for SARPs/DMS Systems will be responsible for the ongoing management, maintenance, and enhancement of the Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs) and Document Management System (DMS). This role involves working closely with business and technical resources, stakeholders, and third-party vendors to ensure the effective operation of the SARPs/DMS systems. The incumbent will serve as the primary point of contact for system-related activities, coordinating enhancements, managing risks, and ensuring compliance with ICAO governance and ICT policies. The position requires a proactive approach to project management, with a focus on continuous improvement and stakeholder engagement.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Serve as Project Manager for the SARPs/DMS systems, developing and managing work plans, schedules, and resource coordination activities related to system maintenance and upgrades.
Identify operational and system-related risks, preparing appropriate risk mitigation plans.
Coordinate activities with stakeholders to support system enhancements and prepare related communications.
Monitor progress of enhancement requests and operational tasks, identifying potential issues and proposing adjustments for senior management consideration.
Conduct coordination meetings, prepare meeting records, and ensure system documentation is accurate and up to date.
Coordinate effective team operations throughout the lifecycle of the SARPs/DMS evolution, providing logistical and operational support to team members.
Manage AI-enabled systems within SARPs/DMS, ensuring clear controls and integrity of AI-related activities.
Lead stakeholder engagement and communication activities related to SARPs/DMS operations and enhancements.
Ensure compliance with ICAO governance, ICT policies, and project management standards, overseeing documentation and risk registers. 1
Support post-implementation reviews and continuous improvement activities, promoting good project management practices across the SARPs/DMS support environment. 1
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications: Essential qualifications include a first-level university degree in information systems, computer science, business administration, or a related field. A minimum of six years of experience in supporting or coordinating information management, digital systems, or business process solutions is required. Candidates should have experience in maintaining, implementing, or developing AI agents, as well as familiarity with Microsoft 365-based platforms. Desirable qualifications include PMP or PRINCE2 certification and experience in an international or multicultural environment, ideally within the UN system.
Educational Background: Candidates must possess a first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree or equivalent) in information systems, computer science, business administration, or a related field. A PMP or PRINCE2 certification is desirable but not mandatory.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of six years of professional experience in supporting or coordinating information management, digital systems, or business process solutions. Candidates should have experience with AI agents and familiarity with Microsoft 365-based platforms such as Dynamics 365 and SharePoint Online. Experience in an international or multicultural environment is preferred.
Languages: Fluent reading, writing, and speaking abilities in English are essential. A working knowledge of any other language of the Organization (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish) is desirable.
Additional Notes: The duration of the assignment is one year, with compensation provided at a monthly rate ranging from CAD 7,562 to CAD 10,91
