Job Overview:
The consultant will support the Child Rights and Business (CRB) unit within the Public Private Partnerships team at UNICEF Thailand. This role involves strategic engagement with Thai business associations, industry groups, and corporate sustainability actors to integrate child rights into corporate practices. The consultant will report directly to the Public Private Partnerships and Advocacy Specialist (P3) and will be responsible for delivering a series of assignments aimed at promoting child rights in the corporate sector. The consultant will work on integrating child rights into corporate sustainability indicators, engaging the private sector to promote family-friendly policies, and providing project management support for advocacy efforts in the construction and real estate sectors. The consultant's work will contribute to advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) objectives of businesses in Thailand.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Integration of child rights into corporate sustainability indicators and frameworks, including the finalization of a narrative that demonstrates how partnering with UNICEF helps businesses achieve their SDG and ESG goals.
  • Ensure the quality of reports on children’s rights in corporate sustainability reporting, including translation tasks.
  • Map potential partners for report launch and secure buy-in for co-launching findings.
  • Organize a launch event for the report findings, inviting key stakeholders.
  • Develop minimum standards for businesses to promote family-friendly policies (FFP) and organize consultations with private sector partners.
  • Provide project management support for advocacy efforts in the construction and real estate sector, including identifying entry points for engagement with government and industry bodies.
  • Attend project monitoring meetings and provide input on project frameworks and reports.

Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of five years of progressively responsible professional experience in corporate sustainability, business and human rights, ESG, or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of corporate sustainability, ESG trends, SDGs, and labor rights issues.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strategic partnerships with stakeholders in Thailand.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in both Thai and English, with the ability to produce high-quality written outputs and presentations.
  • Prior experience with UN agencies or international development organizations is an advantage.
  • Experience working with the private sector, particularly with industry associations and corporate sustainability teams, is a strong asset.
  • Demonstrated interest in human rights, social development, and child rights issues.

Educational Background:
An advanced university degree (master’s or equivalent) in business and human rights, sustainable development, business administration, public policy, or a related field is required. A first university degree in a relevant field, combined with two additional years of professional experience, may be accepted in lieu of an advanced degree.

Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of five years of progressively responsible professional experience in relevant fields such as corporate sustainability, business and human rights, or ESG. Experience should include a strong focus on partnership development and engagement with various stakeholders, including government and private sector actors.

Languages:
Fluency in both Thai and English is mandatory, with excellent oral and written communication skills. The ability to prepare high-quality written outputs and deliver compelling presentations in both languages is essential.

Additional Notes:
The contract duration is from December 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026, totaling seven months. The consultant is responsible for their own travel expenses and may need to attend meetings and events at the UNICEF office or external venues.
