Job Overview: In the role of Sr Officer, Strategy, Planning and Management, you will be responsible for facilitating the strategic, financial, and operational functions that empower the People Experience team to implement foundation-wide solutions. This position requires collaboration across the foundation and with various initiative areas that encompass the entire employee lifecycle, including total rewards, mobility, workforce planning, onboarding, capability development, performance management, offboarding, and alumni programs. You will leverage strategic and operational insights to complement the team's technical expertise, guiding program strategy, planning, and execution. As the foundation gears up for its planned closure in 2045, this role is pivotal in addressing unique global talent challenges during this transformative period.
Duties and Responsibilities: Your responsibilities will include defining and articulating the core people solutions needed for the foundation in collaboration with the Director and Deputy Directors in People Experience. You will ensure that these solutions are integrated into the broader People Team strategic plan and enterprise reporting frameworks. Leading or co-leading complex strategic projects that are cross-functional in nature will be a key part of your role. You will also facilitate the annual planning process, manage a portfolio approach for planning and resource allocation, and define performance metrics in partnership with team experts. Additionally, you will actively manage relationships with extended People and operational teams, promote team culture and effectiveness, and guide cross-team efforts to achieve organizational goals. Your role will also involve serving as a trusted leadership advisor, developing communication rhythms, and engaging in continuous improvement initiatives across the foundation.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess an advanced degree and have at least 10 years of progressive experience in strategy, planning, operations, or organizational effectiveness. A proven track record of leading strategic planning, business operations, or performance management in complex or global organizations is essential. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills are required, along with the ability to synthesize complexity into clear, actionable plans. Proficiency in project management, prioritization, and change enablement is necessary, as well as the ability to navigate matrixed environments with diplomacy and strong relationship management skills. Experience in People/HR functions such as workforce planning, talent management, and total rewards is also required.
