Job Posting Organization: The organization is focused on improving the resilience and sustainability of global supply chains, particularly for critical raw materials. It collaborates with companies to select flagship projects and develop measures that support economic investments and initiatives along the raw material supply chains. Job Overview: The position involves setting up flagship projects with businesses that support the sustainability and resilience of global raw material supply chains. This includes the substantive design of measures in cooperation with other programs of technical and financial cooperation, as well as foreign trade promotion. The role requires professional oversight and quality assurance of project implementation, organization and execution of events, workshops, and dialogue formats in the field of sustainable supply chains. The successful candidate will represent the topic of sustainability and resilience in global raw material supply chains externally, develop networks, and communicate in a multi-stakeholder context in Germany, Europe, and partner countries. Additionally, the role includes supporting program management in strategic orientation, design, and implementation of the project, mobilizing further project funds to scale successful project approaches, coordinating and advising partners on the implementation of environmental and social standards, human rights, and due diligence along the raw material supply chains, monitoring project indicators and impacts, and managing knowledge and developing publications, reports, and contributions in various formats in coordination with the communications officer.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Establish flagship projects with businesses to strengthen sustainability and resilience along global raw material supply chains.
Collaborate with other programs in technical and financial cooperation and foreign trade promotion to design measures.
Ensure professional oversight and quality assurance of project implementation.
Organize and conduct events, workshops, and dialogue formats focused on sustainable supply chains.
Represent the topic of sustainability and resilience in global raw material supply chains externally.
Develop networks and communicate in a multi-stakeholder context in Germany, Europe, and partner countries.
Support program management in strategic orientation, design, and implementation of the project.
Assist in mobilizing additional project funds to scale successful project approaches.
Coordinate and advise partners on implementing environmental and social standards, human rights, and due diligence along raw material supply chains. 1

Manage knowledge and develop publications, reports, and contributions in various formats in coordination with the communications officer.
Required Qualifications:
Successfully completed studies in economics, business administration, or related fields.
Extensive relevant experience, including several years in the German or European industry in the area of procurement of critical raw materials, supply chain management, or sustainability with a focus on raw material extraction and procurement.
Several years of relevant experience in implementing projects in the raw material sector with a focus on social and environmental standards, stakeholder engagement, and local value creation.
Experience in collaboration with EU Global Gateway projects, multi-stakeholder initiatives, companies, and other organizations in the raw material sector.
Project management experience, including coordination of project partners, management of consultants and contracting companies, monitoring, and knowledge management.
Strong analytical and strategic skills, as well as interest in economic and development policy contexts.
Excellent written and verbal communication and coordination skills, team and intercultural competence, and a confident, professional demeanor.
Fluent in German and English.
Educational Background: A degree in economics, business administration, or related fields is required. The candidate should have a strong academic background that supports their understanding of economic and development issues, particularly in relation to sustainability and supply chain management.
Experience: The position requires extensive experience in the relevant field, particularly in the German or European industry concerning the procurement of critical raw materials and sustainability practices. Candidates should have several years of experience in project implementation within the raw material sector, focusing on social and environmental standards and stakeholder engagement. Experience in project management, including coordination and monitoring, is essential.
Languages: Fluent German and English are mandatory for this position. Knowledge of French and Spanish is considered an advantage, enhancing the candidate's ability to engage in multi-stakeholder contexts and communicate effectively with diverse partners.
