Job Overview: The Associate, PODD Corporate plays a crucial role in the design and implementation of procurement processes that ensure cost-effective and operationally efficient contracts with suppliers. This position requires collaboration with various user departments and participation in project teams to deliver best practice procurement solutions. The Associate will be responsible for planning and executing procurement projects that align with the Bank's policies and operational needs. The role demands a proactive approach to identifying cost-saving opportunities and establishing strong working relationships with internal stakeholders. The Associate will also be involved in commercial negotiations with suppliers and contribute to the continuous improvement of procurement processes within the organization.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Associate, PODD Corporate will be tasked with several key responsibilities, including:
Developing and implementing a schedule for ongoing and planned procurement projects that adhere to best practices and meet operational requirements.
Analyzing expenditure to identify opportunities for cost and operational efficiencies.
Building and maintaining professional relationships with internal stakeholders and providing procurement advice to project teams.
Preparing recommendations for procurement projects and contract awards for senior management and key stakeholders.
Leading commercial negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms.
Contributing to the enhancement of procurement processes and strategies to support organizational growth.
Collecting and analyzing market data to inform procurement decisions.
Training new staff and team members on procurement processes and best practices.
Required Qualifications: Candidates should ideally hold a qualification from the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply obtained within the last three years. They must have procurement experience in at least one of the following categories: consultancy and professional services, IT services, IT hardware and software, HR services, facilities management, or event management. Additionally, familiarity with the global consultancy market and its key players is essential. Candidates should possess knowledge of best practice procurement design and implementation, as well as experience in analyzing procurement expenditures and contracts.
Educational Background: A relevant degree in business, finance, or a related field is preferred. Professional qualifications in procurement or supply chain management are highly desirable, particularly from recognized institutions such as the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply.
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of three years of relevant experience in procurement or supply chain management, with a proven track record of managing procurement projects and contracts. Experience in change management programs and the ability to influence stakeholders effectively is also required.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory, both written and spoken. Proficiency in additional languages relevant to the EBRD's operational regions would be considered an asset, enhancing communication with diverse stakeholders.
