Job Overview: The Finance Manager position at Handicap International-Humanity & Inclusion is a critical role that involves leading finance teams and ensuring compliance with both HI's standards and local regulations in the finance sector. The selected candidate will be deployed to various programs across Africa, the Middle East, or Asia, with mission durations ranging from 3 to 36 months. Duties and Responsibilities: The Finance Manager will have a comprehensive set of duties and responsibilities, including:
Management of the Finance team, ensuring effective leadership and support for team members.
Strategy and steering: Drafting, revising, and implementing the operational strategy (Stratop) in alignment with HI's financial policies.
Standards and expertise: Overseeing the deployment and monitoring compliance with HI’s financial policies, processes, and tools.
Ensuring compliance with the legal framework of the countries of intervention.
Supervising internal controls within the area of responsibility.
Operational implementation: Managing financial and budget processes, accounts management, and ensuring compliance with donor guidelines for institutional funding.
Ensuring effective cash-flow management.
Facilitating professional development by disseminating standards and supporting local talent.
Preparing for and responding to emergencies as needed.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess proven experience of at least 3 years in a Manager or Coordinator position within the finance sector, specifically in a humanitarian context. A strong understanding of financial frameworks and regulations is essential, along with confirmed experience in team management. The ideal candidate should demonstrate excellent collaboration skills and be a team player, capable of working effectively with diverse groups and stakeholders.
