The Client Voices Promoter will be responsible for a variety of tasks aimed at enhancing client engagement and feedback mechanisms. Key responsibilities include: partnering with IRC program staff to execute client satisfaction and feedback initiatives, including surveys and focus group discussions; collaborating with clients to ensure their feedback informs IRC program planning and service improvements; identifying and implementing preferred client engagement and feedback methods tailored to community needs; acting as a liaison between IRC and local refugee communities, representing their concerns and suggestions to office leadership; supporting client participation in discussions with external partners to amplify their influence on broader community strategies; attending community events and workshops to maintain strong connections with refugee communities and identify areas for program enhancement; organizing and facilitating leadership and civic engagement training sessions to empower clients as advocates and community leaders; coordinating community events and focus groups to encourage active client involvement in IRC decision-making processes; ensuring alignment with IRC’s client complaints and feedback policies; maintaining accurate records of feedback and engagement initiatives to track progress and inform future strategies; proactively engaging with clients and raising their issues to IRC leadership to inform organizational priorities; and performing additional tasks as assigned to support IRC’s mission and client-centered programming.
Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Client Voices Promoter position should possess an undergraduate degree in a relevant field of study, although this is preferred rather than mandatory. A minimum of three years of work experience is required, with demonstrated experience working with refugees, asylees, victims of human trafficking, and/or immigrant populations being essential. Community outreach experience is preferred, as the role involves significant interaction with diverse communities. Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills are crucial, as the Promoter must effectively communicate and build relationships with colleagues and partners in a cross-cultural, multi-disciplinary environment. The working environment for the Client Voices Promoter includes a combination of standard office work and community engagement, which involves meetings with community partners. The role may require occasional weekend and/or evening work. The compensation for this position is set at a pay range of $20.00 per hour, applicable to U.S.-based candidates. This pay range is determined based on various factors, including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget considerations. The IRC offers a comprehensive benefits package, including 10 sick days, 10 U.S. holidays, and 20-25 paid time off days depending on the role and tenure.
