Job Overview: The Head of Partnerships position is a full-time, 12-month fixed-term role within the Supporter Engagement team at Save the Children Australia. This role is crucial for managing and expanding a multi-million-dollar portfolio of partnerships that contribute to the organization's mission of creating lasting change for children. The Head of Partnerships will lead a team of Corporate Partnership Managers, focusing on delivering exceptional stewardship to partners, driving shared value through social impact goals, and achieving both financial and non-financial growth targets. The role requires a strategic mindset to identify and onboard new partners while ensuring the professional development of the team.
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Head of Partnerships include:
Providing exceptional stewardship to existing partners to ensure renewals and growth, particularly focusing on unrestricted income.
Driving shared value for partners by aligning their social impact goals with Save the Children’s offerings.
Collaborating with the Head of Partnership Development to identify, acquire, and onboard new strategic partners.
Delivering on financial and non-financial growth targets while achieving positive outcomes for children.
Leading and mentoring a team of Corporate Partnership Managers, supporting their professional development and performance.
Developing and implementing partnership strategies that achieve sustainable revenue growth.
Leading cross-functional teams to create innovative offerings for external partners.
Required Qualifications: Candidates for the Head of Partnerships role must possess the following qualifications:
Proven experience in developing and implementing partnership strategies that lead to sustainable revenue growth.
Demonstrated ability to acquire and manage high-value, multi-year partnerships.
Experience in leading a high-performing partnership team.
Strong capability to develop value propositions that align organizational social impact goals with Save the Children’s offerings.
Excellent leadership skills to guide cross-functional teams in developing effective offerings for external partners.
Educational Background: A relevant educational background is essential for this position. Candidates should ideally hold a degree in business, marketing, social sciences, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in nonprofit management, corporate social responsibility, or partnership development would be advantageous.
Experience: The ideal candidate should have significant experience in partnership management, with a focus on developing and implementing strategies that drive revenue growth. A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a similar role is preferred, particularly within the nonprofit sector or corporate social responsibility environments. Experience in managing teams and leading cross-functional initiatives is also crucial.
Languages: While English is the mandatory language for this position, proficiency in additional languages would be considered a valuable asset, particularly languages relevant to the communities served by Save the Children Australia.
