Chemonics seeks a Supply Planning Analyst to join its Global Supply Chain team on the Global Health Supply Chain Program - Procurement and Supply Management (GHSC-PSM) project based in Arlington, VA. The Supply Planning Analyst works on a dynamic team that works together to generate strategic ideas, perform Analysis, and jump into new initiatives in supply and demand planning. You'll have the opportunity to touch on a variety of areas across the supply chain which can include inventory monitoring, diving into supplier forecasts and our Regional Distribution Center replenishment needs, and coordinating across teams to ensure on-time delivery. The GHSC-PSM project is the primary vehicle through which USAID: 1) procures and provides Health Commodities; 2) provides technical assistance to improve partner countries’ management of the supply chain; and 3) collaborates with key international stakeholders to support global health initiatives. Responsibilities Include:
  • Lead planning of Malaria health commodities, and assists with other health commodities, to ensure on-time delivery and alignment with dynamic demand needs

  • Develop replenishment needs for the Regional Distribution Centers (RDC)s and supplier forecasts on a monthly basis

  • Coordinate, facilitate and support cross-functional meetings to drive alignment/consensus on the end-to-end plans

  • Lead the order management process, which includes effectively managing incoming inventory and releasing the inventory for shipment, out of RDCs to ensure on-time delivery to client countries

  • Ensure compliance of the order execution to the regulatory needs of countries

  • Control and monitors inventory levels at the RDCs for accuracy, efficiency, consistency, and to ensure minimal to zero product wastage

  • Liaise with Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, and Deliver/Return teams to lead and facilitate cost saving initiatives, overall supply chain efficiencies

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, or a related field

  • Minimum one year of experience in planning, warehousing, inventory management, procurement, or supply chain operations

  • Experience managing commodities for public sector health commodity

  • Experience working with USAID, PEPFAR, or other donor agencies preferred

  • Experience working in an ERP system, preferably managing inventory and/or procurement

  • Demonstrated ability to follow standard practices and procedures, receive general instructions and supervision on work progress, and make significant contribution to end results

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work with large data sets

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing

  • Able to multitask and manage time effectively, and work both independently and as part of a team

  • Demonstrated resourcefulness in Problem Solving and initiative to learn new skills

  • Strong knowledge of MS Office applications, particularly Excel required

  • Willingness to travel and work abroad in less Developed Countries for at least 4 to 8 weeks per year
