Save the Children International has an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as the permanent Responsible Persons Quality Manager – Medical Services. One of our 2030 Ambitions is to inspire a breakthrough for Child Survival – that no child dies from preventable causes before their fifth birthday. This role will play an instrumental role in contributing to achieving this breakthrough by contributing to strengthen and enable compliance with policies and procedures to safeguard beneficiaries against potential harm from poor distribution practices in line with the regulations and the requirements specified for holders of the Wholesale Distribution Authorisation (WDA(H)).

As a core member of the medical team and its Pharmacy workstream, the Responsible Person Quality Manager (RP-QM) will provide regulatory oversight to enable compliance with the medical quality framework in line with the medical strategy 2019-21, and contribute to enable safe and quality medical services globally. The RP-QM will be named as the Responsible Person for all sites on Save the Children’s WDA(H).

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Essential:
* Meet the RP/QM qualifications and conditions as outlined by the MHRA.
* Experience of enabling regulatory compliance with WDA(H) requirements.
* Experience and understanding of GDP, in particular enabling regulatory compliance, conducting audits, risk management, supplier assessments and managing recalls.
* Experience of working and/or liaising with government drug regulatory authorities.
* Experience of developing/rolling out SOPs and guidelines, and enabling compliance.
* Experience of providing remote support, Capacity Building and delivering trainings.
* Experience of assuring end-to-end medical supply chain practices, in particular around sourcing, transportation, storage and distribution.
* Proven ability to work with a high degree of flexibility and autonomy, tackling new areas with confidence and leading on engaging stakeholders.
* Excellent planning, organization, problem-solving and influencing skills.
* Excellent written and spoken communication and interpersonal skills in English.
* Cultural awareness and ability to work effectively and collaboratively across diverse teams, functions, offices and organizations.
* High level of computer literacy, including internet and other web-based sources and MS Office suite, incl Excel to analyse and present data
* Ability and willingness to travel, occasionally to insecure locations when needed.

* Permanent residence and right to work in the UK.

Desirable:
* Degree in Life Sciences or a relevant discipline.
* Field experience in the INGO sector, within complex/large scale Country Programmes and/or in Emergency response/humanitarian settings.
* Working proficiency in a second language, preferably French, Spanish or Arabic
